Applicable To:Supportworks ESP 8.x

Some users might find themselves getting an error message when launching the Supportworks client as shown below:

"Error Encountered. Details in Windows Event Log. Please inform System Administrator" The Windows event logs show "Failure executing client[..\..\Supportworks Client 8.2.0\swcli8.exe]. Error [193]"

The Supportworks client needs to be re-installed. Ensure you read the guide available on

http://userwiki/index.php/ESP:Supportworks_8.2.0:Supportworks_ESP_Client_Installation_Guide

In order to fix this particular error, run the following command with admin rights from the command prompt

..\..\Hornbill\Supportworks Client Launcher\SwLauncher.exe -C

This instruction will remove all versions and registry settings for the current user as explained in the guide above. Thereafter when you re-instal the client the error should stop when you launch the client.
